Replay automatically transitions the Exchange server to a standby disaster recovery environment, whether it’s running on physical equipment or within a virtual machine.
Replay delivers application-aware and Exchange-corruption-free virtual machines for Exchange mailbox servers, domain controllers, and BES servers. Replay offers two approaches to providing scalable and cost effective high availability: the continuous creation of application-stateful and Exchange-corruption-free virtual machines, or the continuous update of a hot-standby environment.
VirtualHA - Application Aware and Exchange Corruption Free Virtual Machines
Replay validates the application data first by continually performing Exchange data-store mountability checks. It then replays the changes, block by block for all of the volumes, from the Replay Recovery Server into a VMware virtual machine. Thus Exchange service can be restored to users with a simple reboot of the virtual machine.
Continually exports physical Exchange servers into bootable virtual machines
Replay protects physical or virtual Exchange servers by creating recovery points every 15 minutes, while simultaneously checking for Exchange corruption and updating virtual machines for disaster-recovery and high-availability purposes.
Replay performs P2V automatically
Replay performs the physical-to-virtual conversion automatically, without requiring additional 3rd-party products.
Self Managing
All changes on the protected server are automatically maintained on the virtual machine server, including patches, application settings, data stores and Exchange logs.
No Active Directory Changes Required
Traditional HA solutions require active directory modification during the failover process, which increases failover time. Replay maintains an exact up-to-date virtual machine of the protected server, including its IP address. Only a reboot is required to restore service.
HotStandby - Application Aware and Exchange Corruption Free Hot Standby Server
Like Replay VirtualHA, Replay HotStandby validates the application data by continually performing Exchange data-store mountability checks. It then replays the changes, block by block for all of the volumes, from the Replay recovery server. But unlike Replay VirtualHA, Replay HotStandby requires a standby physical or virtual machine that is in standby mode, running our Replay Recovery Console software. Both high availability options ensure rapid recovery from outages.
