The Sales Engineer is the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives and their pre-sales prospects. The ideal candidate must be a technical evangelist for sales, conducting Online Demonstrations, answering technical questions, and implementing software solutions. The Associate Sales Engineer owns the technical portion of the customer relationship, driving the customer toward closure. The Sales Engineer will design and deliver product demonstrations based on customer requirements and the competitive nature of the sales situation.
Required Experience:
0 - 2 years as a software sales engineer
1 – 2 years of relevant technical experience
Computer Science Degree or demonstrable equivalent
Understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems
Understanding of server and networking environments including: Exchange, SQL, IIS, SharePoint, File Server, Active Directory
Understanding of backup and recovery software and hardware based solutions
Understanding of clustering and data replication technologies
Understanding of the technical aspects of virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMWare ESX
Additional Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Proactively assumes technical ownership of pre-sales and Business Development situations
Ability to build rapport quickly with technical and non-technical personnel
