This role is based in Reston, VA. The Solutions Architect will work as a member of the Sales team to provide in-depth technical knowledge and support during the sales cycle, enabling prospects and customers in the deployment of products. He / She will also engage directly with prospects and customers to showcase the Replay product. This will include leading hands on sales opportunities that include proof of concepts, architecture calls and installation of Replay solution in order to gain technical acceptance from the customer and drive sales revenue. He / She is expected to interact at all levels of the prospect/customer’s IT organization including the decision makers.
The Ideal Candidate will have experience in 2 or more of the following:
Windows Server and associated applications such as SQL, Exchange, and SharePoint
Virtualization
Networking
Public and Private Clouds
Datacenter Orchestration
Storage (SAN,NAS,DAS)
Backup and Recovery
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Be the leading hands on sales opportunities that include proof of concepts, architecture calls and installation of Replay solution in order to gain technical acceptance from the customer and drive sales revenue
Technical expert for the aforementioned key technologies.
Assists in the qualification and training of junior staff as needed.
Mentors less experienced architects/engineers
Requirements:
Min of 5 years of IT expertise and knowledge of solutions development, components and architectures
Experience working as part of a technical team
Min 2 years of experience in pre-sales or related field.
Relevant experience with core IT technologies such as; Enterprise Storage, Network systems, Software and Peripherals, Disaster Recovery, Backup and Recovery solutions and concepts.
Experience with Virtualization Technologies , and Cloud computing models
Architect experience within large IT environments is a plus
Strong technical problem solving skills
Specific knowledge of the backup and recovery market
Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
