Inc. Magazine Ranks Dell AppAssure as Fastest Growing Backup and Recovery Software Company Nationwide with 3,450% Growth in Three Years

AppAssure ranks #62 overall among US companies across all industries and seventh fastest growing among all software firms nationwide in annual Inc. 500 ranking.

Magazine has ranked the company as the fastest growing company among all backup and disaster recovery software firms nationwide in the 2011 Inc. 500 list.

Based on overall revenue growth between 2007 and 2010, the Inc. 500 ranks the 500 fastest growing US companies across all industries. AppAssure’s 3-year growth rate of 3,450 percent placed the company high on this year’s list, well within the top 100, landing in position number 62 among all US companies spanning every industry.

Among US software companies across all technologies, AppAssure ranked in the top seven. No other backup and disaster recovery software firm outpaced AppAssure’s growth rate, placing the company in the number one position as compared to its direct competitors. By comparison, traditional backup and recovery vendors in the industry such as Symantec (NASDAQ: SYMC), Commvault (NASDAQ: CVLT) and FalconStor (NASDAQ: FALC) all failed to grow by as little as five percent last quarter, compared to previous sequential quarters.

The company attributes its extreme growth to the demand for server failure recovery in minutes with AppAssure’s software rather than taking hours or days using traditional recovery products. Major clients such as AppRiver can attest not only to AppAssure’s total server recovery speed, but also its flexibility to recover with any degree of granularity in minutes, even individual mail items.
