Follow the steps below to protect a server and set an absolute time to begin taking snapshots.

1. Open the Replay Admin Console and click the Protect… button on the Summary tab.
2. Enter the machine’s name or IP address, port, and recovery point repository location and click on the Authentication button.
3. Enter the Agent/Core credentials if they are in different domains/workgroups, and then click next.
4. Select the volumes to protect and the option to Start protection at this future date/time. Then select a date and time when protection should start and click Next.
5. If the server is an Exchange or SQL server, select specific options for those machines, and then click Finish.

The protected server is added in the tree under the Core name, with a pause symbol on the server icon. The Status next to the Server Name on the Summary tab should be yellow. Snapshots don’t start automatically, but will begin at the time entered during protection setup. The button next to snapshots should be set to Resume. Next to the Server icon, the informational message says “Snapshots suspended for [x] minutes,” where the suspended time is the number of minutes left until snapshots begin.

When the time arrives, the server icon changes to a green ball and check mark, the server displays as “Online,” and the first snapshot will begin at the next interval.
