Issue

Mounting a VHD from within a Recovery Point causes the server to crash.

Solution

Likely, the server crashes because the incorrect driver was used for mounting a volume that is intended to use the Replay VHD mount tool to access the virtual disk. Replay may load the aavdisk driver unless configured otherwise.

When mounting the recovery point that has the VHD, use the Hyper-V Compatibility option so the Recovery Point is mounted using aavstor.
